1 c Sugar
3 tb Cornstarch
Red food coloring
1 ts Lemon juice
2 c Sliced fresh strawberries
1 Baked 9-inch pie shell
Mix sugar and 1 cup water in a saucepan and bring to boiling point.
Mix the cornstarch with a small amount of water and stir into sugar
mixture. Cook until thick and clear, stirring constantly, and remove
from heat. Add several drops of red food coloring and lemon juice.
Cool thoroughly. Stir in the strawberries and pour into pie shell.
Top with whipped cream and chill for 1 hour.
